31 wk doc appt

Everything is a-ok. Uterus is measuring right around 31 cm. Doc estimates that the baby is around 3-3.5 lbs. He felt around and I assume that she is still head down...otherwise I'm sure he would have mentioned it. BP is great at 120/80....its even better when I take it at home. I only gained 2.5 lbs (in 3 weeks) according to their scale which I am very happy with. The scale I regularly weigh myself on has me at 2 lbs heavier. I'll go by the doc's scale and say that the small difference in weight is due to the "enlightening" I've had in the past 24 hours. It has been quite the relief ;)

I asked about their policy on induction past the due date, and was told that if both mother and baby are healthy and are not having any issues, they'll induce between 41 and 42 weeks. This baby has always been an overachiever so I'm sure she'll make her entrance on time, if not a bit early (just like her mom :)). Plus, since she's always measured a little bit ahead, they'll monitor me a little more closely once I get closer to the end.

All in all, a good appt....now off to devour more of my Chicken Pad Thai!

Nursery update

Here is the latest update to the nursery...our tree decal! Putting this decal up was more difficult than putting any of the pieces of furniture together--at least for us. We LOVE it! (excuse the cardboard box in the bottom pic) **The tree is from Modern Wall Graphics and the design is Neu Tree; color is beige**

Week 29 update :)

How far along? 29w2d
Total weight gain/loss: +33 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Yes and no
Best moment this week: Painting the nursery, our glider arriving
Movement: Yes
Food cravings: I love everything
Labor Signs: No, and hopefully not for a long time. But I am having the occasional BH contractions
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: My flat stomach that I worked super hard to get
What I am looking forward to: Working more on nursery decor, baby shopping this weekend, baby shower, June
Weekly Wisdom: Stop stalking your registry!--> this x100
Milestones: Not yet murdering DH, having all of our nursery furniture, passing my glucose test--WOOHOO!

So, let me elaborate on a few things since I have been uber-lazy and only filling out my weekly form lately. As you may have noticed, we painted the nursery. I love it. Our glider finally came yesterday and it looks great in the nursery (see below). Our wall tree decal should be arriving early next week and that will be great to get up. I can't wait for 5/1 so that my mom, sis, and BF will be here for the baby shower. I am so excited to see them. Its hard not to be around the women you are the closest to at this time in your life. Sure we talk all time but their voices don't replace their faces, their touch, or their hugs. I know I've mentioned before that my mom is making our drapes. She is an awesome curtain maker...they are going to look so great, I know it.

This weekend I plan on looking for a shirt for the baby shower and looking for a going home outfit for baby girl.

In other news, my SIL is in labor. She was induced yesterday and my little nephew will likely be here at some point today. I just got a call from DH and he said that she is 4 cm dialated, 100% effaced and just got her epidural. Despite my um, "reservations" about her birth strategy, I am excited to be an aunt!

Here are the glider and week 29 belly pics:

Nursery Pictures

Here are the newly painted walls! I love how everything turned out thus far. Now all we need is our glider and the wall decor! The glider will go in the corner next to the window (in the pic where you can see the dresser/changing table)
