Level II u/s (to check out the cpc/choroid plexus cyst) is on Tuesday and I will definitely post and update after that. I have my 24 week check up next Friday as well.

23 weeks....and 25 lbs
Wowza--I cannot believe I have gained 25 lbs! I stepped on the scale today and could not believe my eyes. Of course, its all worth it...but I can't help but wonder if I can't do something differently to stop packing on these pounds. I eat relatively well...lots of fruits, cereal, sandwiches. All stuff that I ate before. Granted, I do eat more, but I didn't think I was eating THAT much more.

Facts of the week
How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 21 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes--I tried winging it with a bella band and some bigger pants the other day and holy hell was I uncomfortable
Stretch marks? Not yet (and hopefully not at all)
Sleep: If Chris stops snoring, then yes, I hope to get some
Best moment this week: Big kicks!
Movement: Everyday, getting stronger and stronger--I'm growing the next karate kid!
Food cravings: I still love everything
Gender: Girl--and I think we almost have her name!
Labor Signs: No, and hopefully not for a long time--but round ligament pain and muscle spasms have definitely been freaking me out.
Belly Button in or out? In, but the hole from my piercing is now out.
What I miss: I still miss my mom...but I also miss dancing till the sun comes up!
What I am looking forward to: My u/s next week and my 24 week appt

Milestones: Chris feeling really hard kicks from the baby and ordering the rest of our nursery furniture

More about our u/s...
Sorry for the delay in post, but I have been majorly slacking. Here are the full details:
I went in for my u/s and it took the tech about 25 minutes to get all of the measurements b/c the baby was moving around so much. I told her prior to starting that we wanted to know the sex, but not to tell me until Chris was in the room with me (they didn't let him in until they got all their measurements). She told me prior to calling Chris in that she was able to identify the sex--all of the sudden I started feeling a boy vibe. Chris comes in and she's showing us the baby; head, heart, stomach, bladder, etc. Then she said it was a girl and I burst into tears of joy. If Chris could have screamed, he would have. We were both so overjoyed. I asked the tech to "show us" that she was a girl and there was no denying those 3 lines! We got to see baby girl moving and it was amazing.
Fast forward to my doc appt right after the u/s....I'm in baby girl bliss. Nothing could burst this bubble, until the doc comes in and says that the u/s revealed a small choroid plexus cyst (cpc). Now, I had heard about these from the nest and knew that it was not uncommon, but it was still shocking to hear. He said all of her organs and measurements look perfectly healthy and normal. In fact she was already 16 oz and in the 95th percentile for 20 weeks (I went in at 20w3d). So, he referred me to level II and explained what is associated with a cpc. At this point I kinda went numb. He did offer that out of all the cpc that he's ever seen come up in his years as a doctor, none of them have ever amounted to anything and have resolved on their own. So, this was comforting.
I get back to work and start researching cpcs like a crazy person, and rather than freak myself out, I found out some very reassuring information and after talking to some ladies on the 2nd tri board, I felt much better. Over the weekend I had little mini mental freakouts, and decided that Monday I would call the doc and make sure there was nothing else wrong. My fave OB nurse confirmed that all organs were normal and they were just referring me to the level II for the cpc. She even said for me not to worry at all about it since they see it so often. I really and truly believe baby girl is just fine. My NT scan was great (very low risk) and my quad screen was normal and negative for any type of abnormalities. My hope is that should something have been wrong, it would have showed up on the quad screen. So, my level II is on March 3rd and I'm shelving the issue in my mind until then. I hope more than anything that everything will be fine.

20 weeks and Big u/s tomorrow!
OMG--I'm so flippin exciting for my u/s tomorrow. I thought that I'd never get here, and here we are on u/s Eve (hehe). Nothing too much new to report at 20 weeks. I can feel my skin starting to stretch and with this lovely dry weather its a little itchy. I'm definitely lubing the belly once a day to keep the itchiness at bay. Baby is just as active as last week and hopefully getting nice and big in there :) I'll update with the u/s results tomorrow.
