18 weeks and T-14 days till u/s!

So, here we are at 18 weeks. I am definitely feeling the baby. Oddly enough I feel him/her the most when I listen on the doppler. Something about the position I lie down in (always right after dinner) makes that baby move to the point where I can even see my stomach twitch! The other day I heard (via doppler), felt, and saw (the twitch) a kick or a punch. Its absolutely unbelievable.

Otherwise, I'm still slammed at work and people are driving me f-ing crazy. I need a vacation! I can't wait to go to CA for president's day weekend. And, I can't wait for my facial on Saturday. I need one soooo bad!

17 weeks!

Wow, I cannot believe I am 17 weeks already. 2nd tri has been flying by! I *think* I'm starting to feel the baby, but only time will tell :) Other than that, nothing new to report. I've been slammed at work so don't get online much lately. We did receive our crib on Tuesday and are putting it together tonight. I can't wait to see what it looks like!

Update on colpo and doc appt

Well, I guess I have moderate dysplasia. Normally my results only come back as mild, so I'm not too excited about this. In any case, nothing can really be done until after I deliver. My doc says that after delivery we'll repeat with another pap and colpo and then if it still comes back as moderate we'll move forward with either the LEEP or a cone biopsy. I'm sure that will all be delightful after giving birth.

Otherwise all my blood work came back normal for the baby and all tests came back negative. I opted not to do the cystic fibrosis test since it would likely be out of pocket at a nice price of $300. So, since DH and I have no family history on either side I decided against it. I did find out that I am not immune to German measles so I will get immunized again after birth at the hospital. So, that's that--stay tuned for week 17 belly pics in a few days :)
Oh, and one more things, our crib should be here this week!

Week 16 -- say hello to my little bump!

The bump is officially there--all the time. It does grow as I eat throughout the day, but it never goes away completely anymore. I feel great and am trying to workout 2 to 3 times per week.

Updates

The big u/s has been scheduled for Friday, February 6th at 10.45 am. I don't know how I will remain sane till then. Otherwise, my monthly check up went well. The nurse found the baby on the doppler immediately, HB was at 146 bpm. Next came the colposcopy. Gawd, I hate getting these. It was the 3rd one I have had. The OB said he would look with the colposcope 1st and see if anything needed to be biopsied. He only found one very small section and took a very small piece for biopsy. It was so small that I didn't even feel him remove it whereas with my other 2 you could definitely feel any snipping going on on the cervix. After the procedure I went back to work, where I noticed I was bleeding a lot more than I was told I would, which of course freaked me out. I haven't seen blood out of the hoo-ha since September. Thankfully it subsided shortly after I called the doc about it, but I have been told to take it extremely easy today--check!

In other news, we got a new mattress--praise the lord! One more night on that total shite of our queen size would have prompted me to permanently relocate my sleeping quarters to the couch. Now we have a new PLUSH king size bed. Ah...heaven! I can't wait to sleep on it tonight. Now I can actually get a snoogle or something to that effect since there's enough room on the bed!

Back to the appt--I have gained 9 lbs thus far this pregnancy. I was relieved I hadn't gained more since I literally feel like I've gained about 20.

Week 15 and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I don't have too much to report, other than I think I have popped a little :) Yay! I bought the cutest pair of maternity jeans today and am so excited to wear them. It's amazing how uncomfortable the bella band can get with normal jeans. I am also waiting on another pair of jeans and 3 shirts to arrive from Old Navy.

2009 is going to be a great year!
